Michael Markovitz - Founder & Director

Michael has over two decades of experience as an executive and consultant for leading media, technology and entertainment companies. During this time Michael has advised large corporates, start-ups and NGOs as well as heading up a major media company’s digital division where he made acquisitions and set up new businesses.

To add to his strong commercial experience, Michael is also a leading regulatory expert. He remains highly respected for the part he played in drafting new broadcasting and telecommunications legislation in 1993 and the six years of regulatory work he did as special adviser to then ICASA chairman, Mandla Langa until 2005.

Michael has real world understanding of building new businesses. Together with business partner, Manny Teixeira, Michael has taken investment stakes in emerging infrastructure and digital media businesses in South Africa.

Michael also has strong links to SA’s hospitality and property industry.
